Nav Now wins RBWM Business Excellence Award!

SMS Initiative Ltd (the company behind Nav Now and ProMotive Motorsport) Managing Director, Hunter Abbott, yesterday won the Young Business Person of the Year award at the prestigeous 2005 RBWM Business Excellence Awards gala.

After being nominated for a record four seperate awards in February 2005, SMS Initiative Ltd made the finals in three categories; Young Business Person of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Customer Excellence.

Hunter Abbott, 24, said "This is a great award for everyone at the company, without their help and team-work we couldn't achieved anything like we have!"

Excellence Awards Identify Business Achiever of the Future

Individual performance contributes enormously to business success and it is vital to celebrate the achievements of young people contributing to business today. The winner of the Young Business Person of the Year category at the Royal Borough Business Excellence Awards has announced as Hunter Abbott, Managing Director of SMS Initiative Ltd, the group holding company of Nav Now and ProMotive Motorsport.

Sponsored by WWP Training and The Windsor & Maidenhead Express Series, the award aimed to encourage innovation and business excellence in the young people of the borough. All four finalists achieved exceptional results and showed innovation, drive and determination, as well as great skill in their chosen field. However, one particular individual stood out for his exceptional achievements to date and his creative ideas for the future.

There were three other finalists in this category, all of them experiencing great success at a young age and who show great promise for the future - Rachel Andrew, Yvonne Cobb and Jeni Vincent.

Awards Ceremony

The Royal Borough Business Excellence Awards Ceremony took place on Thursday 21 st April at the Castle Hotel, Windsor . Nearly 300 local dignitaries and business leaders packed the Windsor and Georgian Suite to crown the award winners and celebrate the borough's business achievements.

This event was the culmination of a year-long campaign to find ten exceptional winners from a huge number of top quality entrants.
