How it Works
The Alerte GPS G200 Neo works by using GPS (Global Positioning System) to tell where it is, how fast it is travelling and even which direction. The system then uses a database programmed on to the unit to tell when it approaches fixed cameras, average speed zones, mobile laser guns and safety cameravan sites. It then uses this information to warn you of the cameras you are approaching, allowing you to concentrate on the road ahead and not be distracted by the suroundings.
How it Warns You
The AlerteGPS G200 Neo will alert you by voice, beep and visually. As you approach the camera site the G200 Neo will say the type of cameras and the speed you should be doing, for example 'Warning, Gatso, 50 MPH'. It will also display your current speed, the speed you shoudl be doing, type of camera and the distance to the camera on screen, see below. If you are going faster than the speed limit when you are approaching the camera it will even beep to alerte you until you pass the camera. If you are going below the speed limit when you approach a camera it will even keep quiet, only alerting you when you need it!
Mounting it to the Car
Mounting in the car is easy! You are supplied with a small rubberised magnetic disk which sticks to your dashboard (you can remove it eaily and without damage if you need to sell the car), the AlerteGPS G200 Neo then magnetises to the disk. This means you can easily move it into and out of the car for security, and if you wanted to use it in several cars all you would need is an additional magnetic sticky disk (available seperatley).
